Goosepool Properties began life in 2017 with a goal to develop a property portfolio in the North East of England. It all started when we took on managing two small flats – one residential and the other commercial.
Soon, however, a property came to our attention which ticked all the boxes to convert into a modern holiday let near Durham. The house needed complete renovation and allowed us to add our own touches and style. Soon it was welcoming guests and we were able to show them how much great service meant to us – to great reviews!
More serviced accommodation units followed in Darlington, offering affordable and quality short-term accommodation to contractors, medical staff, leisure guests and many others.
We have also adapted to offer management of serviced accommodation and holiday lets for other companies and individuals, using our honeds skills in presenting properties in an appealing way, and managing guests to ensure they have the best experience.
Throughout our history so far we have managed to work with investors to realise great returns and joint ventures that work for all involved, and we can’t wait to share the other projects we’re working on.

Matt Falcus – Founder and CEO
Matt runs Goosepool Properties alongside wife Lucy, who is a GP.
Matt spent years in the video game software industry and has also run a successful book publishing company. He is also an author and private pilot.
He loves the potential of making properties stand out from the crowd, both in how they look and feel to live in, as well as in how guests and tenants are looked after.
